DSSD-Dead Sea Super Day

Today was our last out-of-Jerusalem field trip. Sad day. We visited Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, Masada where the Zealots made their last stand, Ein Gedi where we hiked in a nature reserve and saw ibex, and best of all we finally got to swim in the Dead Sea! It was weird. And awesome! Because the water is so dense you don't have to do anything to float. It is like treading water but you don't have to tread. You come out caked in salt and have to be super careful to not get it in your eyes. It was a blast!
